The weather was so perfect for being outside I couldn't pass on an afternoon off walking around the infield of the Daytona International Speedway checking out the wide variety of muscle cars at the 2015 Daytona Spring Turkey Run. While there is a lot less cars in attendance for this show compared to the Turkey run Thanksgiving weekend that fills the infield completely this show still has enough cars to make a lap around or two around the infield worthwhile. It was kind of hard to get into a picture taking mood as there wasn't anything that got me real excited. I guess I'm getting to the point where I've seen almost everything lol. I did see a Daytona Cobra Coupe recreation that looked like it would be a blast to drive around. I'm still on the hunt to see an photograph one of the original six and I'm sure that will happen some day. The was a Bricklin that was pretty cool to see with the big blower and I always get a kick out of the Rat Rods that are as much works of art as they are vehicles. There were a few vintage stock cars on display and its hard to imagine those being driven around this legendary track back in the day. I'd say the highlight of the day was getting to meet and have a picture taken with Catherine Bach who played the character Daisy Duke on the TV show " The Dukes of Hazzard ". She was just as sweet as could be and signed a picture to add to my autograph collection which I hope to someday line the walls of my man cave with. I have about 200 autographs from celebrities, actors, models and sports heros and I'm very happy to add Daisy Duke to the collection. Here are a few pictures of some of the cars I saw and it is a great indicator of how good the upcoming Fall Turkey Run can be.
